In the block editor, add a Custom HTML block where you want the calculator and paste the script tag. In Elementor, use the HTML widget; in Divi or WPBakery, use the Code module. If your theme or a security plugin strips script tags, paste it into a Code Snippets or Header/Footer Scripts plugin instead and place the block on the page as normal. Page builders that cache HTML may need a cache clear before it appears.

Open the editor, click Add Elements → Embed Code → Embed HTML, and paste the script tag into the code box. Resize the embed box to roughly the width you want the calculator; it fills the box and grows in height automatically. Wix runs embeds inside its own frame, so the calculator appears after you publish rather than in the editor preview.

Add a Code block to the page section (Edit → Add Block → Code), keep the type as HTML, and paste the script tag. Code blocks are available on all current plans. If you want it on every page, use Settings → Advanced → Code Injection instead, but a page-level Code block is usually the better fit for a calculator.

For a theme section, add a Custom Liquid block in the theme editor and paste it there. The calculator works on Dawn and every Online Store 2.0 theme; it does not need an app installed.

Webflow: drag an Embed element onto the page and paste the script tag into it, embeds render after publishing, not in the designer. Framer: add a Code Embed component (Insert → Utility → Embed), choose HTML and paste the tag. In both, set the element's width to 100% and let the height be automatic; the calculator sends its own height.

No, paste the script tag inside the page body where you want the calculator to appear. It works with static HTML, Next.js, Astro, Hugo, Laravel, Rails or anything else that serves HTML. If your framework blocks inline scripts with a Content-Security-Policy, allow script-src and frame-src for seodesk.ai.

Can I put it on more than one page or site?

Yes. The same tag works on as many pages as you like. If you run more than one website or brand, create a separate calculator for each in your dashboard so leads, tracking and pricing stay separate.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. The calculator, the embed and the leads it sends you are free, with no card required to set it up. You create an account so your settings and widget ID have somewhere to live, and that is all.

No lead limit and no paid tier for the calculator, now or later. I do SEO and lead generation for solar installers separately; the calculator is how you meet me, and using it does not sign you up for anything else.

If one day you want more people reaching the page it sits on, that is a separate conversation, and it only makes sense once your own numbers say it is worth having. If it never comes up, keep the calculator. What is free, for good: the calculator on as many pages as you like, unlimited leads forwarded to your inbox, your lead list in the dashboard, and export of everything, any time.

Will it slow down my site or hurt my SEO?

The loader is under 2 KB and loads asynchronously, so it does not block your page rendering. The calculator itself runs inside an iframe served from seodesk.ai, so its scripts and styles never touch your page's Core Web Vitals or CSS. Search engines see your page content as normal.

How accurate is this compared with what I would quote?

It is a planning estimate built from the same inputs you would use: the visitor's bill converted to annual usage at their supplier's current unit rate and standing charge, a system sized in whole panels at your wattage, MCS irradiation figures for the region, export income at Smart Export Guarantee rates, and your prices. It will not know their roof pitch, shading or orientation, so treat it as the number that starts the conversation, not the quote.

What happens if my survey comes back different from the calculator?

That is expected, and the calculator says so to the visitor: the figures are an estimate and the survey is the quote. The lead email shows you exactly what they were shown, so you can explain any difference on the call rather than be surprised by it. If your surveys are consistently different in one direction, adjust your prices, roof area or yield in the dashboard and the calculator follows.

Yes. Every figure in the breakdown is traceable: usage from the bill and tariff, generation from the regional yield, savings split between self-used power at the unit rate and export at the SEG rate, and cost from your panel and battery prices. No. Out of the box the calculator sets no cookies and stores nothing in the visitor's browser. The only data that leaves the page is what a visitor types into the report form, and that goes to you.

Yes, if you want to. Usage tracking, meaning sessions, form starts and conversion rate, is off by default and can be switched on in your dashboard. When it is on, the calculator records anonymous, cookie-free events for your own reporting; it is never shared or sold.

Yes. The embed is a small, readable piece of JavaScript. You can open seodesk.ai/embed.js in your browser and read all of it. Its only job is to create an iframe and listen for a resize message from it. There is no tracking code, no third-party scripts, no obfuscation and nothing that touches your page, your forms or your cookies.

What can the calculator access on my site?

Nothing. It runs inside a sandboxed iframe served from seodesk.ai, which the browser isolates from your page: it cannot read your content, your cookies or your visitors' data, and it cannot navigate your page or run scripts on it. The only thing it sends back to your page is its own height, so the frame can size itself.

Is the connection secure and where is data stored?

Everything is served over HTTPS. Lead details are stored on UK-hosted infrastructure and only for the purpose of delivering them to you. I am happy to sign a data-processing agreement if your business needs one.
